Sales, Delivery & Refund Terms & Conditions

As with any shopping experience, there are terms and conditions that apply to transactions at MARANO. By placing an order or making a purchase at MARANO, you agree to the terms set forth below along with MARANO’s Privacy Policy and Website Terms & Conditions.

Orders & confirmations

All sales orders submitted online are subjected to MARANO’s acceptance.

Sales order acceptance and completion of the purchase will take place once the order has been dispatched. Until that time, MARANO reserves the right to reject the Sales Order.

Once the online purchase has been made, our Customer Service will contact you regarding the sales order confirmation and delivery.

MARANO reserves the right to cancel or terminate the obligation to fulfil any sales order, for any reason whatsoever, even after a sales order is confirmed and paid for by the customer, with or without notice. MARANO shall not be liable for such termination or cancellation. In such an event, a full credit refund will be made to the customer.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), Bank Transfer and PayPal. Our prices are listed in SGD or USD. Please note your order will not be processed until full payment has been received by MARANO.

It is the responsibility of the customer to check if the product(s) purchased will fit through doors, staircases and lifts. Product dimensions are included in the respective product page. MARANO will not be obligated to fulfil the order if there are any discrepancies after 48 hours from the time of order.

Order change or cancellation

If you change your mind and decide to cancel your order or any item(s) in your order, please notify us within 48 hours from the time of order and you will be refunded with no additional charges incurred.

Do take note that cancellations do not include items that are custom made or on clearance.

In the event you wish to cancel your existing order and place a new order, kindly note that a new delivery lead time will be given at the time of new purchase.

All refunds will take 7 business days to process and will be credited back to the original mode of payment.

Production lead time

Regarding the production lead time for our custom furniture, it’s important to note that the timeline can vary. Generally, our high-quality furniture undergoes production within a range of 6 to 12 weeks, unless otherwise specified on the product page.

Keep in mind that external factors like backorders, production or shipping delays, bad weather, or strikes might affect the lead times. We can’t guarantee specific delivery dates due to these variables. For accurate details on production lead times, check out the relevant product page.

Please understand that orders cannot be canceled or refunded just because of delays caused by these external factors. We appreciate your understanding in this matter and are happy to address any questions you may have.

Shipping & delivery

Shipping costs shall be borne by you and are indicated separately during the check-out process and on the order form or invoice, unless otherwise provided.

We work with trusted furniture delivery partners to offer the most care to our products and make sure your delivery is professionally handled. You will be kept updated by SMS or email concerning your order by our Customer Service Team and schedule your delivery in advance. Your order will be delivered on working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) within the terms indicated during check-out process.

Please indicate at this point for any add-on services like carry-up service and disposal of old furniture.

Our delivery service includes moving of items into the room of choice in your home, unpacking, assembly, installation and rubbish removal.

If you wish to change the scheduled delivery date, you may do so at no charge before 14 days of the original scheduled delivery date. Rescheduling within 14 days of original scheduled delivery date will incur a restocking fee of S$100 per furniture item. For rescheduled delivery of more than 7 days from original date, additional warehousing charges will be incurred. Our Customer Service Team will contact you regarding the additional charges.

Since the actual delivery of your order can be impacted by many events beyond MARANO’s control once it leaves our facilities, MARANO cannot be held liable for late deliveries. We will, however, work with you to ensure a smooth delivery.

Carry-up service

Carry-up Service may be required for delivery to any location above ground floor without direct, unobstructed lift access. This includes carrying furniture up any flight of stairs within apartments or landed property.

Carry-up service is charged at $100 per item, per every non-lift accessible level. Please note that this service is limited to carrying up a maximum of 3 storeys / flights of stairs.

We agree to deliver goods to you on the understanding that reasonable access is available. It is your responsibility to check measurements to ensure your items will fit through the doorways or passageways leading to your delivery location.

If there are obstructions to direct lift access experienced during delivery, the Delivery Team will assess whether it is possible to perform carry-up service on the spot (and bill the charges later) or to reschedule delivery. This is dependent on the number of items to be delivered, manpower, hazard assessment as well as other operational considerations. If the Delivery Team determines that delivery has to be rescheduled, there will be a restocking fee of $100 per furniture item.

MARANO reserves the right to refuse or cancel carry-up service for any item that is deemed risky or hazardous for our delivery agents. In such a case, you have the option to self-carry the item. However, MARANO will not be liable for damages incurred.

The return

Should you wish to return an item due to manufacturing defect, you can do so within 7 days from the date of delivery with a chargeable restocking fee of 25% per returned item. This fee will be deducted from your refund. To initiate this request, please contact our Customer Service Team so that we can facilitate the return. Returns are only accepted for product that is due to manufacturing fault. Returns will not be accepted if the condition is deemed in our reasonable opinion, not limiting, the item is no longer in an acceptable condition due to wear and tear, misuse or due to abnormal usage and such.

We regret that we will not accept any returns after 7 days from the date of delivery.

The refund

The refund will be processed in 14 days from the date of collection and credited back through the original mode of payment. MARANO reserves the right to change the mode of refund.

A 25% restocking fee based on the original invoiced value will be deducted from your refund. As such, you will be refunded the following: Purchase Price – Restocking Fee = Refunded Amount. Please do note that the restocking fee will also apply if you wish to return the item(s) in order to place another order.

Product information

We endeavour to ensure that all the products on our website are accurately described. Unfortunately, on some occasions, it is possible that our website will contain errors and we reserve the right to correct any errors or inaccuracies at any time, including after you have placed an order.

Some of our products are made from natural materials, and there may be small variations between the product image(s) and the product you receive.

We endeavour to ensure that all colours are displayed accurately, but you should be aware that colours may appear slightly differently on different displays and screens. The shade of colour from screen to screen is not a fault or error.

We aim to update our website regularly and may change the content at any time. If the need arises, we may suspend access to our website, or close it indefinitely. We will use reasonable endeavours to ensure our website contains accurate information and content, however, we reserve the right to update our website as soon as an inaccuracy or error is brought to our attention.

Product Disclaimer

Please be aware that all leather sourced and used in our furniture are genuine and natural materials. Slight discolouration, scratches, or change in texture may be visible over time. These small inconsistencies should not be considered a defect but rather add to the beauty and uniqueness of your furniture. Keep in mind that before a product is made, each hide is inspected with stringent regulation. We aim to provide the best looking piece of leather to create your furniture while reducing the amount of waste.

Full-grain and Top-grain Nappa leather is a natural product which can have colour and textural differences when used over time. These are, in fact, quality features that denote good, genuine leather and ensure exclusivity. The leather is sourced exclusively and is tanned in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Our natural marble is non-man-made and each has its own unique patterns, veins and grains, and other visual variations. This is also what makes the natural marble of prestige and timeless elegance. There are no two pieces of natural marble that will look exactly the same as every natural marble is a signature piece of art by nature – each piece is unique to itself and will come in a variety of hues and translucence.

These natural semi-precious stones are beautiful individual pieces which may contain inclusions, pits or fissures. These are not flaws. In fact, they signify the authenticity of the product, adding a touch of individuality and characteristics to the final quality product fabricated. Our hand-picked natural marble is further enhanced with the final application of eco-friendly crystal surface finish treatment to provide protection, hardening and a glass-like finish for better wear-and-scratch resistance that will last.

Our visuals and samples are used as a representation of the final product and the actual natural marble on the product delivered may differ slightly in the visual characteristics.

MARANO warrants that all our furniture are free from defective materials and workmanship. Warranty periods vary by product, commencing from the date of delivery and are defined as below:

If, during the warranty period, a product is deemed defective due to a manufacturing defect, MARANO will repair or replace part(s), at MARANO’s sole discretion. This Warranty covers the replacement or repair of any product or part of any product that has a manufacturing or material defect that is not the result of normal wear and tear, or a natural characteristic of the material used.

For materials such as solid wood, marble, stone, genuine leather, and handcrafted items, any natural flaws, cracks, tree scars, minor scratches, or leather scars discovered are not deemed manufacturing defects.

  • To maintain the coverage provided by this warranty, it is essential to use and care for your furniture properly. This warranty does not apply if your furniture is damaged due to the use of detergents, abrasives, or other harsh cleaning agents.
  • Damage resulting from negligence, abuse, normal wear and tear, or accidents, including but not limited to burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations, or damage from pets, is not covered by this warranty.
  • This warranty does not apply if the product is used outdoors, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Any modification to the product by the consumer or unauthorised parties will void this warranty.
  • Items identified as display items at the time of purchase are exempt from this warranty coverage.
  • MARANO’s decision on all matters concerning complaints regarding defects in workmanship or materials shall be final and conclusive. MARANO reserves the right to repair or replace part(s) at its sole discretion.
  • Any item repaired or replaced under this limited warranty will be covered for the remaining duration of the original warranty period only.
  • This warranty covers the cost of material components, replacement parts, labour, and transportation charges for manufacturing defects detected within the warranty period.
  • For manufacturing defects detected after the warranty period, the purchaser is responsible for covering the cost of material components, replacement parts, labour charges, and transportation costs (if applicable).
Claim Procedure

If a problem should arise, please contact our Customer Service with clear photos and a description of the problem. The original receipt will also need to be produced as part of the warranty requirement.

Should the item be deemed to have a manufacturing defect at MARANO’s discretion, we will offer the following where applicable:

  • Repair or refurbish the defective product
  • 1-1 exchange
  • 1-1 exchange with an alternative item, should the item no longer be in production
